The PC market is facing an ongoing crisis, with significant sales drops continuing to plague the industry. According to a report by the analytical company Gartner, the third quarter of this year marked the eighth consecutive quarter of decline in computer sales.

Gartner’s data reveals that computer sales decreased by 9% year-on-year, with only 64.8 million units delivered to customers compared to 70.6 million units in the same period last year. This downward trend in PC sales has been a cause for concern for the industry.

Among PC manufacturers, Lenovo continues to lead with a market share of 25%. However, even the tech giant Apple experienced a significant sales drop, with a 24% decrease in computer sales compared to the third quarter of the previous year.

Despite the gloomy outlook, analysts predict a noticeable improvement in the situation next year. PC sales are expected to increase by 4.9% compared to the current year, offering a glimmer of hope for the struggling market. Both the business and consumer segments are anticipated to see improvement, bringing some relief to the industry.
